On 6 May 2025 at 5 pm CET (11-12 am Eastern Time), Dr. Quentin Bammey of the Image and Visual Representation Lab of EPFL will give a webinar at the IEEE Signal Processing Society. On 3 April 2025 vera.ai joined the first online webinar of the AI-on-Demand Webinar Series. Title: AI Innovation From Research to Market. Jakob Abesser of Fraunhofer IDMT shared his latest veraAI research work at the 51st Annual Meeting on Acoustics (DAS | DAGA 2025) which took place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark in March 2025. On 17 and 24 June 2025 the vera.ai project consortium will host two online events in which project partners will present research outcomes and respective challenges. Sessions will take place from 2-5 pm via video conference. The 17 June session is dedicated to end user facing tools, while 24 June will target primarily the research community. On 11 February 2025, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) hosted the 5th edition of the webinar series in which selected vera.ai work and outcomes are presented. The present report, Visual assessment of Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour in disinformation campaigns, examines three disinformation, manipulation, and interference campaigns: 'Operation Overload' (by CheckFirst), 'A massive Russian influence operation on TikTok' (by DFRLab and BBC Verify), and 'QAnon’s ‘Save the Children’ campaign' (by multiple stakeholders). Through a structured visual approach, it assesses how these cases align with key indicators of Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour (CIB).

On 20 January 2025, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) hosted the 4th edition of the webinar series in which selected vera.ai work and outcomes were presented. This time, it was the turn of researchers based at Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT). The focus: Large Language Models (LLMs) and what they mean in the context of tackling online disinformation.

In the midst of summer 2025, the 4th edition of the ACM International Workshop on Multimedia AI against Disinformation (MAD’25) will take place. It is organized in conjunction with the ACM International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (ICMR’25) that is held in Chicago, US, this year.
