This is an announcement - more to come - in order for you to mark your calendars early and reserve two dates in June 2025 in order to find out more about what we got up to in vera.ai.

In detail: on 17 and 24 June 2025 we will host two online events in which project partners will present research outcomes and respective challenges. Sessions will take place from 2 pm via video conference (Zoom). Pre-registration is required (link here and below).

Focus of the two days:

The 17 June session is dedicated to end user facing tools addressing, among others, journalists and fact-checkers as a target audience. To be showcased: enhancements of the verification plug-in, Truly Media, the Database of Known Fakes, and work on detection of Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior.

Sessions on 24 June, in turn, will be directed primarily at the research community. Focus topics: text analysis, credibility analysis, synthetic image/video detection and audio analysis, among other.

The overriding topic of both days: Artificial Intelligence and content analysis, including the respective verification of digital media items with the help of technology.

A more precise agenda will be published in due course. You can register already (which is mandatory) right now to save your place (platform to be used: Zoom)!

So stay tuned, watch this space and other related articles on the website. We are looking forward to seeing you in the afternoon of 17 and / or 24 June 2025 respectively.
