On 19 June 2024 from 2.30-7 pm we - together with sister projects AI4Media, Titan, AI4Trust, AI4Debunk and AI-CODE - are hosting another "Meet the Future of AI event" in Brussels, following the success of the 2023 edition. It takes place at the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications (BIPT), Bld du Roi Albert II 35, in the Belgian capital.
In an era where technology is reshaping our societal landscape, understanding the implications of AI on democratic processes is paramount. Generative AI (GenAI), a subset of artificial intelligence that aims to create new content, poses both promises and perils for democratic processes around the world.
This event focuses on relevant issues and challenges around generative AI for the public good and democracy. We cordially invite you to attend this half-day conference co-organised by the Horizon Europe projects vera-ai, AI4TRUST, TITAN , AI-CODE and the H2020 project AI4Media, which develop novel AI techniques to counter online disinformation, particularly in light of the recent advances in generative AI.
The final programme is available here:
It consists of two main session strands running from 2.40-6.10 pm (with registration opening at 2.10 pm):
Session 1: Generative AI in latest elections and other disinformation campaigns
Session 2: Harnessing Generative AI against disinformation and for trust building
From 18:00 - 19:00 there will be a reception to which every attendee is invited.
Speakers include:
Participation in the event is free of charge. However, it is mandatory to register beforehand under this link. In order to facilitate the management and organisation of the event, we kindly request you to let us know if you have registered to participate but will not take up your place in order for others to join at short notice.
We all (that is: team vera.ai, its sister projects and the European Commission) look forward to seeing you on 19 June.
